Julia Galloway's work is full of details. From her graceful sense of form to the rich surface decoration including drawings, metallic lusters, and vivid colors achieved through multiple firings, her work beautifully balances utility with ornament. Some recent pieces contain elements of cityscape. Galloway loads the pots into her pick-up truck and creates her drawings on them en plein air. Galloway is currently an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at the School for American Crafts, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY.
