Charles Jahn hails from Chicago where he taught for a few years at the Chicago Art Institute while running his production pottery full-time. Recently Charles has been making wares to fire in a two chamber wood kiln. The process is still new to him and he is very interested in the diversity of results coming from the chambers depending on subtle changes from firing to firing.Charles is a devout technician, easily captivated by the complexity of firing. His current work at TRAX shows the skill he has mastered in putting a perfectly balanced teapot together. His teapots are not only joyful to look at, they are a delight to use.
